Today is the first day that I KNOW I'm pregnant. Yesterday's blue dye test (e.p.t + - ) was very, very faint. Even with 40 strangers on countdowntopregnancy.com voting it a definite positive, I didn't want to get my hopes up. Today, I tested with a digital and got another positive. My period is three days late. THIS IS IT!
Of course, part of me immediately began worrying about risks for miscarriage. I'm 34 and 4 months, and my mother miscarried at 8 weeks before she conceived me, her first child. This was my sixth cycle trying to conceive, and I think my previous doubts have now been transposed to fears of loss.
However, I am so, so happy. I've been talking to the little blastocyst down there. The sun light seems a bit brighter. Things taste a little sharper. I'm so ready for this!
