I miss it. Who is drinking it? Who is not?
I have decaf latte right now from Dunkin Donuts, and it is delicious. I still feel guilty? Ugh.

Comment from Elladezeng » Posted Dec. 20, 2013 7:42am Coffee is by far harder for me to give up than even my nightly vino! You can have 16 oz of coffee per day but I drink less than that. I have headaches everyday, so giving up caffeine totally is a dangerous proposition for me.
Comment from dakotagurrl » Posted Dec. 17, 2013 4:46pm I didnt cut caffeine with my first and wont with this one. Granted, I dont drink nearly as much coffee/tea now as I did 14yrs ago, but I have no intentions of quitting. I dont go overboard, prob dont even hit the daily max...Im not too worried.
Comment from jennavee » Posted Dec. 17, 2013 2:39pm I didn't give up caffeine with my last pregnancy, and definitely am not giving it up with this one! I only have 1 cup in the morning though (regular brewed coffee). If I get something from Starbuck's or coffee shops I get decaf. My BFF is a barista, so I get free PSL's all the time, and choose decaf with those. My doctor said I need to keep it to 200 mg of caffeine per day, which is about 2 small cups of coffee (or one of my mugs lol). I do try to limit soda and tea just so I don't go over the limit though.
Comment from Krod0519 » Posted Dec. 17, 2013 1:48pm I miss it SOO much!!!! I had a decaf Pumpkin Spice latte last week and it was heavenly lol. I don't think you should feel bad, its decaf!! Plus i hear one cup of regular isn't going to be bad so your safe. i really think the sugar from coke and the sweeteners in the cream are worse than anything.
Comment from mrsamanda » Posted Dec. 17, 2013 1:14pm I have pretty much cut ALL caffeine. I'm drinking caffeine free coke and Sprite and apple juice mostly. I have had a couple cups of coffee though. I don't think a small amount of caffeine here or there is going to hurt anything.
Comment from sweetnsour » Posted Dec. 17, 2013 11:36am I never really liked coffee but I have one occasionally or sometimes have a iced cappuccino maybe once or twice a week. It just seems to help with the dizziness and light-headedness I've been having. I don't think it will do any harm if I keep my intake that low. :)
Comment from Bammom » Posted Dec. 17, 2013 11:05am I did not give up caffeine this pregnancy but I would cut my coffee intake to 1 cup a day. Doctor is totally ok with that amount. Unfortunately, when I was getting sick a lot, coffee upset my stomach so I haven't been drinking it for a few weeks now. I have switched to tea, but I will probably indulge in my 1 cup a day later on when my stomach is more stable :) I did give up all caffeine when pregnant with my son, and I just wound up miserable and had a headache all of the time. I still had a pretty hyper child too, lol. I think giving it up all together is over-rated for me this time around. I always keep it under my 200 mg a day though! |
