glucose test

Can someone give me the low down so I know what to expect? My guess is they will book it for 26 weeks next Friday, when I go for the 20wk anatomy.

Anyone been through the test let me know!

In other news im sick! Cold and cough....only took one dose of robutussin. Im a tough cookie! I want to get better so I can go back to work.

Baby is still doing fine..moving from time to time, a kick here and a jab there.

Ordered a ton of clothes for my baby boy from Macys, had a couple gift cards on hand from my mother in law that I saved from Christmas. Can't wait for him to arrive so he can wear them. :)

I'm doing my test tomorrow (just shy of 28 weeks). The window it's usually done in is 26-28 weeks. If you're doing the 1 hour test, it's pretty straightforward. They said no high sugary stuff in the morning (mine was really early so I hadn't eaten anything). You'll drink this bottle of gross sugary liquid (I had orange...I heard the red one was best). It tastes like WAY over-sweetened kool-aid. Then they wait for one hour and draw your blood to see what your glucose level is at. I felt sick until I ate some real food afterwards. Try not to throw up...they will probably just make you reschedule.

Isn't shopping the best? :)
My doc told me the glucose test wasn't until closer to around 24 weeks, so I'm wondering if they'll talk about it at my next appt the 13th. Atleast that's what I think he said last time. Maybe it was 30? Lol.
