Getting sick...again!? :(
By acrichton » Posted Apr. 16, 2014 3:26pm - 203 views - 2 comments

So being that I already had bronchitis this year, and got my flu shot, I figured I should be in the clear for the rest of this pregnancy right? Wrong!

I never had the flu, but I am pretty sure I am coming down with it, the symptoms are all there, sore throat, cough, and nausea. I also have the chills and I'm freezing! If this is allergies (which I do suffer from annually when these Cherry Blossom nasal Terrorists come out), they must be some crazy allergies!

About 3 of my employees have had confirmed cases of the flu and the others have had a touch of something, I kept the flu employees home (as they work in foodservice and can't be at work unless they are basically symptom free).

I thought you couldn't get the flu if you got the shot? Has this happened to anyone? I read that flu can put you into early labor? Please stay in there baby boy you can't come out yet!

Fingers crossed I feel better tomorrow but for some reason I am not feeling like that will happen. I had my glucose test scheduled for tomorrow but rescheduled it for next week. I didn't find it to be a good idea to chug down a shit ton of sugary liquid when I am not feeling so hot to begin with.

No word on the job yet for my husband. They told us "beginning of the week", which has come and gone. Such bullshit. They know we are under contract on our house, and I am getting more preggo by the day. Do they care? No. Because large companies think they can just put people at their mercy and do whatever they want.

This was just ranting, I feel like it wasn't constructive but I am so damn mad!! Can we get some good news? Please???? I know the good news is coming but when?

I don't want to be sick for Easter, I miss my family! Please get better body!

The flu shot is only 50/50...it's totally a guess as to what strain will be going around that year. I refused the flu shot, my DR didn't like that, but I haven't been sick at all since getting pregnant. I dislike the vacs that are yearly...especially the flu shot...just a way for the drug companies to make a buck, in my opinion.

The flu shot usually protects you from the flu strain that is going around that year. You can catch the flu if it's different from what you were vaccinated for. :/ Ugh!

Hope you guys get a happy phone call soon!
