Another disappointing day of false labor...
By Mommatoboys » Posted Dec. 3, 2014 5:13am - 630 views - 6 comments

Started having a good amount of mild contractions yesterday afternoon that were ranging from 5-15mins apart. After 10pm they started getting more intense and I could feel babys head being pushed against my cervix with each one. After two hours though they went to 15-30mins apart and became less intense so I decided to try and get some rest. I'm having some more mild contractions about 7mins apart since getting up but that's it. I go to the doctor at 2:15 and will probably go ahead and have my repeat csection schedule:( and just pray he decides to come before then. Dh wants me to try and schedule it for this Friday and I would like to wait until next Friday to give baby a little more time since I know full term is anywhere from 37-42 weeks and I'm only 40+4 though I'm so miserable. I just so had my heart set on a VBAC and the thought of trying to recover from another csection with three other kids to take care of on top if a baby scares me and it will add a lot more work onto my dh. Okay I'm done ranting for the day:)

Thanks papas-mama for your suggestions although I just had my 3rd membrane sweep today and I've done evening primrose oil for over 3 weeks, I walk and even run some for an hour 4-5 times a week but I've had to almost cut out my weight lifting because I'm just to tired. I've done nipple stimulation with a breast pump, bounced on birthing ball and taken two doses of castor oil(which worked with my first son but not with this one). This little guy is just to comfy in my tummy I guess lol.

Would he strip your membranes? You could go your own route to try to avoid the Csection and take some castor oil or cohosh, but definitely do some research first if you think about something like that because there can be unpleasant temporary "side effects"-personally I think the temporary "side effects" would be worlds better than having to recover from a section. But that's a very personal decision, but I just wanted to throw it out there. I will do everything possible to avoid a section, never had one, never want to. I pray your Vbac works out for you. If you don't want to take a natural remedy like that, you can always drive over some train tracks;), take a long walk, have some sex, do nipple stimulation, or look up other ways to try to naturally bring on labor. Hope it happens for you soon!

Thanks withchild2 that does make me feel better. Hopefully that's the case if I have to go ahead with the csection. I just really thought he would be here by now. Hopefully I'm more dilated today then last week.

Thanks sianny. I'm trying my best to make it through each day by telling myself if he was ready he would come out but it's getting hard because of all the pain, stress and exhaustion. I just don't know how much longer I can make it physical and mentally. The other kids and housework is suffering from me being so miserable. Hopefully doctor has some insight and encouragement today.

You poor thing! I bet you are miserable. I hope baby doesn't make you wait much longer! If it makes you feel better, I have a friend who has only ever had c-sections and she said the first one was terrible to recover from, but that the second one was no big deal because they cut along the scar tissue and it wasn't very painful recovering. Fingers crossed you don't have to go that route, though!

Aww honey. I respect you greatly as most people just want baby out at 40wks and don't want to wait, if Dr says that baby is okay to hang in there then I don't see why you can't wait for your VBAC. Also as long as you you can hold out too though as I can imagine you're shattered.
I really hope it happens soon for you x x x
