We have an end date!

So I went for my doctor appt today at 40+4 weeks and was ready to talk about going ahead and scheduling a repeat csection since he said two weeks ago he would not induce. Well as he walked in the room he said I would not be pregnant past Monday one way or the other which took me by surprise. He was completely shocked to even see me today since he was sure I would have the baby by now especially after two sweeps. He did another sweep and said he thinks I will be in labor soon but if not then I'm to go into the hospital Monday at 6am to start on a low dose pitocin drip. He said he didn't like to induce with a VBAC but I'm at 3cm and 70% effaced and he thinks my cervix is very favorable for the induction. I have been completely miserable for over a week with false labor and barely any sleep so I did welcome this news. I will be 41+2 at time of induction if I don't go into labor before then so I feel satisfied that I have given my body enough time. I'm just so ready to have my baby and start feeling better. Hoping and praying that I do go into labor on my own though so I can have the best chance possible for my VBAC. Maybe knowing that I will have this baby by Monday will help me to relax some and my body kick into gear.

I've been completely miserable with barely any sleep the past two days with contractions that are going good and then stop and start back again along with awful back pain and cramps and bloody show but just can't get the contractions to stay and get stronger no matter how active I am. It's so frustrating cause I get my hopes up and I'm in all that pain and then nothing:(. I was so hoping to have him today.

Yes I am extremely thankful he has stayed in so long and I'm hoping that he will be more alert and nurse better then my other boys that were born sooner. All they wanted to do was sleep and not eat lol. Hopefully all goes well with the induction and it's a wonderful birthing experience. My other two were not as enjoyable as I had hoped but we were are healthly and that's all that matters:).

	Comment from Papas~Mama » Posted Dec. 4, 2014 12:02pm I had an induction with my last baby and it was no worse than regular labor at all. I know people have horror stories but mine was very normal. What a relief you must feel, how wonderful:) And how nice to know baby will be big and strong, better a little late than a little early I think. Fully baked and ready to come into the world with strong lungs and plenty of baby fat;) Best of luck with your VBAC and God be with you during your labor and delivery! I bet he'll come this weekend!
	Comment from Mommatoboys » Posted Dec. 4, 2014 10:00am It's such a huge relief! I actually slept last night and it was amazing lol. Still hoping he comes before Monday but at least I know he will be in my arms by then:). Hope everything is going well with you and your little girl!
