Ultrasound soon! 2 more hours and I can I think permanently relax through this pregnancy if everything looks well. Optimistic yet worried as usual. Also considering how I want to announce the pregnancy.
I think I have it figured out for my mother in law. We arent telling her until closer to 20 weeks, maybe around 18 but absolutely no sooner than 16 weeks. We are going to be buying a minivan soon because I cannot fit 3 carseats and 2 adults into my tiny Suzuki. I plan on having the carseat for the baby in the back row and my boys in the middle, so when she comes to check out the new car she will see the carseat with a little sign on it that says "reserved September 1, 2014" I'm pretty sure it will be obvious what we're trying to say, I also want to mount a video camera from the trunk to get her reaction. Then I will have to brace myself for all of her unwanted "helpful" smothering antics.
My mom knows already as well as my stepdad, so it would just be telling my twin brother and my grandma then releasing the news on facebook. Thought about posting pictures of the new car with baby seat equipped and the caption "Yes, I did something I said I never would and bought a minivan, but let's face it - sometimes you need the room!" and see how long it takes people to catch on ;)
Crossing my fingers for a healthy ultrasound, AGH! It's sinking in now!
