Pregnancy is Getting Easier . . . Still, a Tough Day!

My nausea has pretty much disappeared. The only time I feel nauseous I know I need to eat. I don't feel hunger pangs . . . just the slight nausea. Once I eat it's gone. Much better than the all-day stuff from before. Food aversions are mostly gone. Right now any processed sugars disgust me. Cool-Aid, Cadbury eggs (which really have gotten smaller, by the way), cookies, cake . . . any of that gags me & leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Even yogurt is yucky! Yesterday I cleaned all day, skipping my usual midday nap. I paid for it by early evening. I was so exhausted I could barely carry myself to the bed and almost skipped my shower all-together.

I said good-bye to my cousin today. She's been fighting cancer for many years. She was beating it, and then all-of-a-sudden she was in hospice. She will most likely leave before the morning. It was hard to hold in the emotions. I was so sad for her sister. We buried her youngest sister in 2005. Just a couple of years ago we buried her mother. And in a few days we'll bury her older sister. I managed to keep my emotions in check despite the pregnancy hormones. I really wanted to stay strong for everyone else. It's not their job to comfort me. It's my job to be the comforter. What a tough day!
