3/5/2014 - 12w5

We had our nuchal translucency scan today. The ultrasound tech said everything looked clean. Heartbeat was 162. As soon as she started the image of a little baby sucking it's thumb popped up. It was so cute! She says the baby was very active. I bet so! I just drank a small carton of orange juice before I walked in to the appointment. LOL! It was so amazing to see those little hands and feet . . . to see the little one bouncing around having fun in there.

We talked to the midwife while they drew some blood for the chromosome draw. It was so easy to get her to put in a prescription to increase my thyroid medication. I'm not sure why I spent the past 2 weeks trying to get the nurse to call back. I should have phoned the midwife directly. I was just glad to finally get the prescription. All the pregnancy symptoms have disappeared, but the hypo symptoms have gotten worse. I sleep with a heater by my side all day & night. The bloating is awful! It is so bad it physically hurts. My face is round and full of fluid. Hypoglycemia symptoms have popped up over the past week or so. Come to find out . . . the hypoglycemia symptoms are a result of uncontrolled hypothyroidism. I can't wait to feel better!

It was so great seeing that little baby today. It's amazing how much it's developed just in the last 2 weeks! Steven's so excited! He thinks the baby is cute too. Today he said it's amazing you can fall in love with something you haven't even met yet. I'm glad he feels that way.
