So hiking and camping was fun this past weekend. But our time there went by waaay too fast and wish we had maybe one more day to enjoy the gorgeous days we had there. We unfortunately got a late start in the day because we went to bed too late the night before. But because our best friends Sandra and Merle came into town unexpectedly. We MISS these girls so much and hope the one day become our sons godmothers! They are from our old home town and we absolutely love them!! We hung out and talked and talked all night long catching up. They recent have had a rollercoaster ride with adopting 2 kids in the last couple years. They got both kids as babies and have been busy with their growing family. They are super stoked we are expecting and started having talks of maybe having one soon!! YAY!

We got to Zion Ponderosa at about noon. We immediately starting unloading our packed cars, pitching our tents, and trying to get lunch started. I ate way too much since each couple each brought different snacks and I wanted to just indulge in everything! We had lunch, hung out at the Rec room the camping grounds has loaded with pool and ping pong tables, a basketball court, horseshoes, and more! At night the temperature dropped significantly and the bonfire was perfect to sit by. We made smores for the kids and hung out having great conversation.

On Sunday we woke early for breakfast, packed everything up and went on to our hike. We decided to do a moderate hike instead of a more strenuous one due to the pregnant lady and because my friend Candy had a little knee injury the night before while playing a game of catch and was limping away. The hike took about 3 hrs since we kept stopping for breaks since I didnt want to overdo myself. No way I want to risk a preterm labor!! During the hike I kept getting stares and even some cheers after seeing me that I am very much pregnant and hiking still. LOL I did end up removing my tank top and hiking around in my sports bra due to becoming hot. I have no shame and I LOVE my bump and want to show it off! Afterwards we found a beautiful spot by the river to have lunch and cool off some in the cold river water. The ride home was bitter sweet as we were all exhausted but sad to return to reality.

Overall it was a ton of a fun and hope one day to take my son there to enjoy the beautiful nature of the outdoors this place has to offer. :o)

I definitely want to get another hike in before it gets too cold here! Last time I went hiking was at the end of my first trimester lol. It's been way too long
