22 Weeks!

Wow what a week its been, Sunday had ended badly after I decided some fresh air was called for after being stuck in the house all week. So off to the flying field to watch hubby fly his RC planes, it was a moderate car journey and I sat in the warm sun with only two slow walks down the field to watch the guys get the quadcopter out of the trees.
It wasn't till we were getting ready to head out that I felt the braxtons start and by the time we were driving home they were strong at every 3 mins, I ended up on the sofa downing water and pizza praying to higher powers that they do not get painful. It took 45 mins for them to ease off leaving me feeling like I had done 100 sit ups.
I figure even the little bit of walking I did at the field coupled with not drinking enough perhaps and the fact that I hardly know when I need to pee anymore had set off one heck of an episode. My back ached for hours after.
Thankfully the pain the Drs had told me to watch out for never came and laying down with food and water eased it off eventually.
So scared.

So strict rest was placed on me for the rest of the week, I got bored and painted an ivy vine in the window for something to do and I'm really rather pleased with how it turned out.
We get to pick up the swinging crib this weekend and is rather old, beautifully restored and passed around my family, its rather girly (as were the norm back then when every baby and crib was done head to toe in lace) so I never took it with Hunter but now I get my turn with it, pretty canopy and frilly edging. I can't wait!!

Thea must be part rabbit, I swear! She spends so much time (mostly at night) scrabbling and trying to dig her way out of me or so it feels. Constantly plumping my bladder or rearranging my intestines 'Glad you're getting comfy in their little lady, I'm not planning on letting you out anytime soon!'.

Also the dreaded hip pain has kicked in at night, the achy hip that makes my leg go dead in about ten minutes so I roll over and give it ten minutes before the other side starts acting up. I repeat this for hours trying different cushions to get comfortable until I bang my head on the wall and give up and suffer.

Don't get me wrong though, all this aside I'm actually really jolly still, could I be thankful that I have maybe mastered how to calm the braxtons/Irritable Uterus episodes? That I get my frill crib or maybe that its just because I just had my shopping delivered today and can't decide what to eat first.

Oooo a huge box of Malteasers! (thats Whoppers Candy to the ladies of the USA) I think I'll start with those.

Hehe I bite the chocolate off and then suck the malt. I don't have many left but boy do i want to eat them up.

I agree with the cushions, I'm sleeping with several like a persian princess lol

The ivy is hand drawn, for v sine strange reason I love ivy and drawing it. a I'm the same there just isn't enough time in the day. I plan to do a lot more little paintings round the house once I figure out what I'm going to paint.
Thanks Hunni and I can't wait to see your little Hunter. Not long now

Mmmmm Whoppers!!! One of my favs!!! I bite them in half and suck on them so the filling dissolves and then I have that amazing chocolate left over! Mmmm lol Man, I'm ready for breakfast!

The hip pain has been a pain in my sides for months already...I've learned though, that if I keep a small pillow between my knees and don't cross one leg in front of the other, the pain is nearly gone at night!!! Just the stupid insomnia really sucks...one day I sleep great the next not so much - ho hum! C'est la vie! Yesterday was the 1st day I actually had terrible achy back, was on my feet most of the day, so I guess my growing bump got the best of my lower back...

I love the ivy, did you hand paint that or use a stencil? I love to draw but haven't done so in many many years!

Hope the braxton's ease and you're able to control them...I have days where I get more than normal, but like you, once I drink and eat, they are pretty much gone...enjoy your day!

I can commiserate. The hip pain is dreadful. I roll over so much in my sleep... ( I did before anyways as I've had hip problems for years ) but when I wake up in the morning my lower back is really stiff and sore. Not loving that or the braxton hicks but absolutely love feeling my little girl moving and kicking all the time... even though most of it is in my ribs during the day lol!
Love how the vine came out! =)

Thea will be in the nursery with her brother until he's old enough to move to the top floor, bit too far for him at the moment. The nursery will be woodland theme so I have trees, foxes, hedgehogs, owls and other paintings to do. Hunter had pooh bear and piglet in his old room that I painted in silver before he was born.
I love painting
