99 Days to go!

(please excuse any mistakes, pregnancy has done a number on my eyes so now my glasses no longer work very well so reading this is like my mother trying to work her mobile phone, lots of squinting and swearing)

Tomorrow I will turn 26 wks, so close to the 30 weeks now!
I'm getting a little more sleep but I also think my body is getting used to the less sleep side of things now as although I feel tired I'm not a zombie. I keep waking up on my belly though so I hope I'm not squishing her.

Hopefully come 2pm today I will have our new travel system pram and buggy for Thea! (thats a stroller to you lovely ladies in the US) I'm so excited to see it and hopefully start customising it as its a little plain for my tastes. It wasn't expensive which was good but it came with everything we need it just needs a little spray paint to make the frame cream and some pretty ribbon roses and trim in places to make it really girly.

Thea had me worrying when I hadn't felt her all day but she soon made up for it as that evening and early the next morning she beat the heck out of my insides, she feels HUGE now and also I think I can tell one end from the other as I sometimes think I feel a butt pushing out of my stomach and if I gently poke it I get kicked in the back. Hubby finally saw her kicking about in there last night and thought it was hilarious, normally if I tell him to watch or feel she stops everything and hides. She's such a pickle.

On the irritable uterus side of things I get braxtons every night and occasionally during the day which are uncomfortable and annoying, especially if I'm trying to sleep but the episodes of stuck on braxtons have lessened greatly. The other night there was so much pain in my back during them that I couldn't walk once they had eased off. All the muscles in my stomach and back felt as if I had done a 1000 sit ups. Hubby had to help me move and walk especially when my hip started to click during every step making me laugh which in turn hurt my stomach. Spent a while laying on the landing before I could attempt the next two flights up to bed.
Luckily once again they were totally random and stayed 'stuck on' for 20 mins at a time, for ladies who have no clue its like a braxton that goes tight but doesn't release for 20 mins. These are good because I know its not a 'call the hospital' episode. Although painful I prefer them over preterm contractions.

Hubby has had a big project on at work which he's heading up and I haven't really seen him since last Friday. He worked saturday till midnight, slept most of sunday then when he got home from work, late, all this week he was straight up to his office to continue working till midnight once again.
I'm suddenly feeling very lonely and miss him dearly but I can't complain, we could really use the money and after all it his his job, his career.
Hopefully that means we can have a special 4th anniversary together, last year our anniversary was written off after our 12wk scan on the same day dealt us devastating news that I had suffered a missed miscarriage. I had to go home to face family, friends and the non alcoholic champagne knowing that the next day I was to have surgery.
I really want to claim that day back and make it a happy occasion once again and I have my fingers crossed that hubby will allow me an early treat next week of my meal of choice that I have been craving for weeks now.
KFC with cherryade and Krispy Kreme doughnuts OMNOMNOMNOM.

On that note I am really jealous of other ladies weight gain on here, so many of you are not even in double figures in the lbs during your last few weeks and I'm up 8lbs already, it's normal healthy gain but I can't help thinking I'm doing something wrong. Its my own fault for tracking my weight, with my son I don't think I even knew what I weighed before or during. I'm just annoyed because now my maternity clothes feel a little snug. More money to spend lol!

Thanks hun, I done a lot of hard work to lose weight for this pregnancy after I convinced myself that my weight gain after Hunter was born was to blame for my missed miscarriage. So I know I can lose it again also I'm convinced I have a lot of water retention as I'm naughty with salt and only just getting the water back in after my morning sickness refused to let me drink anything high in water.
Time to be a good girl.

Don't fret over the weight gain! I was only at 4 lbs a few weeks ago and at 27 weeks, I've gained 7.8 lbs total now. Hunter's daddy has been on me alot lately because I haven't gained much. After much stress and moving and everything else going on, it's finally leveled out! I went from 102 lbs (at 5'6") to 187 lbs with my oldest, so I think I'm OK with this bundle of joy LOL!!

Yup its a good healthy weight gain, It's about a lb a week but some weeks I have no gain and others I go up two. I hope after Thea is born that my craving for sweets goes away as I think that will help lol.

Happy 26wks! No worries on the weight gain. I've put on 11lbs so far and with 16 weeks left if I gain a lb a week I'll be at a total of 27lbs. Right were I need to be. So even if you gain a lb a week from here on out you will be fine!

Thanks sweetie. I've opened the boxes I can (they're huge) and I'm really shocked at the quality. It's actually better than the one I bought for my son which was over 3x the price. I love love love it.
