Quick Update (procrastination from unpacking)
By Sianny » Posted Jun. 24, 2014 12:28pm - 260 views - 4 comments

So here I am at 12weeks 4days. Still don't believe I've made it to here but I am.
We moved in to the new house on Friday and it's brilliant, the move itself left me stressed and in tears until hubby ordered me out of the flat to get a drink and take a break. Now we are unpacking or trying to but the surrounding countryside is so lovely is hard not to wonder off. I love it here.
I have a fridge stocked with farm fresh meat and veg and

The scan on Monday couldn't have gone better, everything went to plan and so smoothly, even our song by Jack Johnson came on as we walked out of the scan room.
The picture you see it the mess that was made of my arm while taking blood. It hurt like hell and I felt it tear through as she swapped to the second vial, but it wasn't her fault it was just something that happened as I asked for that arm as it was already in agony from wrenching it in the move but I knew the veins in that arm are at an odd angle from previous blood tests. Besides I was too happy to even care and I got a chocolate bar afterwards yay. The final two vials came from the other arm and hardly left a mark.
My mum nearly fainted when I showed her he he he.

Nausea seems to really mellowed out (touch wood) but I'm still gagging if I think about it too much.

All in all I'm a very content person for now.

Goodness. I saw your arm before reading and freaked. Glad you are okay because that looks like it hurts! They had a new person working on me at the hospital and I was sure to give her the arm where the veins are very noticable because I am terrified they will get it wrong. She got blood all over me and the bandage but my arm was still intact. Lol

I'm glad your scan went well!

And I hate it when blood draws go wrong. I remember one time while I was in AIT, and we were practicing our sticks for draws. The guy who stuck me really screwed me up. I was black and blue from my wrist almost all the way to my shoulder. It sucked.

Sounds like you are doing very well! Glad that you are in great spirits! I've been there and done that with the arm deal. I vowed to never donate blood to the particular "blood bus" deal that took mine. They messed me all up!

And... apparently I was going to say something at the end of the first paragraph but as normal my brain wondered off without me
