I don't feel as nervous as I did 3 yrs ago when riding in the car to the 20 week ultrasound. I was so dead set on having a girl last time that I selfishly was upset when it was a boy. In hind sight, I wouldn't trade my little boy for anything in the world. He is exactly who God intended him to be and he is the light of my life. I realize that this new little one will most likely be a boy too. My husband swears he saw boy parts on the early ultrasound and I tend to lean towards that. The fetal heart rate has been hanging around the 140's lately and the baby was measuring 5 days ahead last time. I know a lot of that stuff is said to be old wives tales, but I have a hunch, what can I say? I have been trying to focus on making this experience as exciting as possible since it will be our last and I want to remember everything I can--kind of like Senior year of high school. Our oldest son is 6 yrs apart from our second and they are best buddies. Little fella in there...you may be the key to helping the second born get through the years ahead when the oldest's interests stray away from his brother who adores him. You may be the new pal to help him focus on. You are the final piece to this family puzzle whom ever you are as a person, not a gender. I look forward to seeing you again and I am praying for your health and safety.
