Well... 3 out of the four values were normal and I had one elevated.
What does this mean for me? I get to do the test again in about a month, and they are giving me some kind of diet information (which I hope is better than the "pre-test" diet information they gave me for this one)
my fasting, 1 hour and 3 hour levels were normal and for some reason my 2 hour level was 4 points higher than my 1 hour which makes no sense to me at all. Looking at the information available on the internet, it seems I just should make some adjustments to my diet to avoid spiking my sugar. I have a glucose monitor lancets and test strips (because I'm a freak with too much money this year on my FSA) So I think I'm going to just test 4 times a day like I AM diabetic and log it to show the doctor if things go wonky.
Fasting Level: 90 (5 points below max allowed, not fantastic but not horrid)
1 hour: 165 (180 is the max allowed)
2 hour: 169 (max allowed is 155 no idea what my body was doing here, this was an about 90 minutes after I almost vomited)
3 hour: 90 (max allowed is 140 I was well under by then)
I'm not looking forward to the repeat test, the nurse sounded like if I hadn't had an elevated number I might not have had to re-take it, which I find bizarre, I was expecting to have to retake it if I passed. I think I read somewhere that one elevated level is usually a pass. So I'm just going to assume I do not have GD though I may have some level of glucose intolerance and just try to lay off the sugar.
