Worried after ultrasound
By ch3rrypie11 » Posted Jun. 18, 2015 2:31pm - 269 views - 5 comments

I came home from my ultrasound today a nervous wreck. She said I was dating around 5 - 5 1/2 weeks and only was able to see a yolk sac and sac. She told me it's too early and not to worry but how can I not worry. I would think even at 5 weeks with levels in the 8,000's you would be able to see more on an ultrasound. I am seeing the Dr on Monday so I guess i'll have more answeres but I'm so afraid this is not going to be viable. Praying so hard my little bean grows.

Your ultrasound results are perfectly as they should be. I've had 6 pregnancies and only ever seen a gestational sac and yolk sac in the 5th week then a HB in the 6th week. Please don't worry. Perfectly on schedule for your dates x enjoy best of luck :-)

Thanks guys...I googled it a lot and I am feeling better about what I've read...I know for sure I started ovulating on the 15th and ended on the 22nd...so if I did conceive around the end that would probably put me at 5 weeks. I hope I don't have to wait long to go for the next u/s...2 weeks will be torture but I just have to keep praying and no bleeding is a good sign too.

This same thing happened to me. I was worried too, but they said it was still early. A week later we saw a baby & heartbeat.

It still is early. My last pregnancy my little guy was measuring off by 4 days less. The next week got another us and he was measuring his exact date! Try not to worry!

That's actually pretty good. My doctor's office said that you usually don't see a fetal pole til your levels are at least above 10,000. Seeing gestational and the yolk sac is a good sign. Will keep my fingers crossed for you that all is well and next time they will see a little heartbeat in there!
