20 week anatomy scan!
By ch3rrypie11 » Posted Sep. 28, 2015 2:17pm - 282 views - 4 comments

Well Friday was or 20 week anatomy scan ultrasound. I haven't seen her since 12 weeks on ultrasound so it was mind blowing to see how big she was and that she looked like a baby and not a weird alien formed tadpole of sorts. Hearbeat was 145 and everything for the most part looked good they said however, they want me to have a fetal echocardiogram on the 14th because they said they didn't get the "text book" pictures they would've liked to have gotten. This has me worried though and I just really hope the specialist will find nothing wrong. They also have me scheduled for a growth scan ultrasound on the 23rd and I have to have one every 4 weeks...at least I get to see her once a month on ultrasound. I'm still feeling pretty crappy. Just trying to take it easy and take it day by day. Oh and yes, the panorama test was 100% accurate for gender! It's still a girl!

Congrats on your baby girl!! Yes, try not to stress, especially if they say everything looks good. They usually stay quiet if something looked off. My son was so active, they had to repeat a few measurements also. I go every 3 weeks so they can watch my placenta previa and watch blood flow of baby since my antibody screen was positive. I'm sure your baby girl is just fine :-)

yea, they scheduled it for when I'm 23 weeks so I'm assuming it's because of the size. They said everything looks good so I'm trying to stay calm and just believe they need more clear pictures.

I had the same "issue" as Hzl did. Had to go back because they couldn't get a good look at all of the chambers and everything was fine at the next ultrasound. So jealous you get to see your baby every month!

Try not to stress about the echocardiogram. With my 1st born, they could not get a good look at all the chambers in my son's heart and asked that I come back 2 weeks after. I was a bit nervous too but everything turned out to be just fine. Sometimes the baby is not in the right position to get a good look at all the chambers. Have faith all is ok!
