Not good...not good at all

Well, the scans I have had have revealed that I have a super rare complication known as a Cesarean scar pregnancy. Basically it is where the baby implants in a c section scar and is very very serious. I m being sent to London tomorrow for more tests at Kings College Hospital. I think going by what the consultant was saying on Friday that these will consist of a 3D scan and an MRI.
This is terrifying me as usually the treatment for this is a methotrexate injection and I don't want to lose this baby. That will be the only option of it keeps going into the scar at it will rupture it at some point.....that is a certainty. However, if it grows up into my uterine cavity that I might be able to continue with the pregnancy albeit at very very high risk to me and it will almost certainly mean a hysterectomy when the baby is born. I can live with that. This is likely to be the very last time I will ever be pregnant anyway. I am 37 now and given that it took 2 years to get pregnant with this one and I would have to wait about a year after aborting to try again anyway, the chances of there ever being another baby are slim to zero.
I would much rather lose my uterus completely if there is a baby at the end of it, of that I am sure so I am hoping and praying that on Monday they will tell me that it might be possible for me to go into expectant management as they call it which is pretty much a wait and see approach with scans every week.
Please baby....please stay. I love you so much already!
