Well, today is Wednesday and I had my appointment at Kings College Hospital on Monday. They have indeed confirmed that I have a c section scar pregnancy which was devastating. However there is a ray of hope at least for now. The placenta has not started to bulge through my uterus and so they are letting me go back next Tuesday for more scans.
Hopefully the placenta will start to move towards my uterine cavity and not deeper into my myometrium because if they do find a bulge I will have no choice but to have a termination because of the risk to my life due to uterine rupture, adhesion of the placenta to my bladder and bowels etc.
If Bob behaves however and the pregnancy is allowed to continue then I have been told that I will without a doubt have both placenta previa and placenta accreta, my pregnancy will be very very high risk and I will likely need a hysterectomy when I have the baby. There are however no guarantees and I could have problems that will mean a hysterectomy before the baby is viable and I may end up with no womb and no baby.
Come on Bob.....behave! Please please behave!
