16/06/15

Putting the date in today for my own reference.

Today I went back to London for my repeat scan and the result is encouraging. Bob has grown and we even saw wriggling which was so cute!. However, the main reason I was there was to see if the placenta had eaten any further into my scar. The good news was that he hadn't and pretty much apart from Bob being bigger there were no changes. There were no abnormal arterial formations and no placental lakes either which is another good sign and the consultant despite asking me again if I wanted an abortion thought that I could have a chance of actually having this baby.
Of course I said no and she said that it was fine. I am still within the tame frame for a safe abortion of it becomes necessary with a good chance of not needing a hysterectomy.

She did say however that I will deffo have placenta previa accreta, that I will have to have a hysterectomy when the baby is born and I will likely be in ITU after the birth. Bob will likely be born early and will go into SCBU providing I don't suffer a rupture and lose Bob before viability. She thinks that scenario is unlikely however according to the letter she has written to my consultant. I will also most likely need to spend time in hospital on bed rest if I should have a vaginal bleed during the pregnancy (which is pretty much a certainty)

So anyway.....here's hoping!
