I <3 my consultant!

Seriously, I bloody love that man! I saw him today and he didn't seem in the least bit phased by all my problems. Instead he sat down and said that he wanted me to have a fetal medicine scan at 20 weeks with another consultant and probably an MRI later on in my pregnancy. i am going to go see him again when I am 24 weeks and he reckons that all going well I might even be delivered at 36 to 38 weeks which means that there is a possibility that I will not have a preemie baby. This is only if everything goes well though and I am well aware anything could happen between now and then. The point is I know I am in good hands.

He also remembered my youngest who was with me today. He personally came into hospital to do the c section when I had him on his day off. This is how good a consultant I have and this was 8 years ago. I have been left feeling much happier about this pregnancy now despite the fact I know there is still a big risk to my life and a hysterectomy is pretty much inevitable but hey ho, that's life!

They won't let me have a midwife this time since I'm too high risk :( I sure miss mine a lot already. So much different seeing doctors this time around.

My midwife was also like that. Still says hi to me if she sees me at the store and stuff. Glad that everything is going well so far. :)

Glad to hear you are still hanging in there! =) And glad you have a wonderful consultant. My midwife is like that, she remembers her patients from years ago. Always nice to see medical professionals who actually really do care about their patients <3
