Had a ultrasound on Sept 4th at 10 wks 1 day and it was super cool to see baby move and kick and wave. Hubby is super excited. This coming week on the 17th we start my genetic testing. (I chose to do this because I am adopted and have no family history) My husbands side has a history of cardiovascular problems (mostly heart attacks and bypasses) My mom was drilling into me why I will need so many ultrasounds (I get two more plus one at 18 -22 weeks) I was trying to explain that they are safe and needed. She thinks they are like x-rays and I think she's be going a little to much into the new research that ultrasounds are now 'unsafe' I call it a bunch of BS. Ultrasounds are sound waves not radioactive.....ugg. I think that its my baby and I do what I think is best.
