Tailbone Pain

I will be 15 weeks on Monday. I have been experiencing a burning sensation in my hips periodically. From what I am told, that could be from my hips preparing to begin stretching. However, for the last few days my tailbone has been VERY painful! It's even uncomfortable to walk and FORGET taking any stairs!
I'm concerned b/c I do have some medical problems: degenerative disc disease and arthritis in my neck/back. Also, I have a very old injury to my tailbone which I've discussed with my Dr and she didn't seem overly worried about it. I don't take medication for the arthritis or ddd. I stopped all that before even TTC - they caused more problems than they're worth if you have to take them for an extended period of time.
I'm concerned b/c I didn't think the back pain was supposed to come on this early, specifically the tailbone pain. My best friend thinks it's all due to my hips stretching. Her feeling is that my hips are narrow and I've never been pregnant before so they've got some catching-up to do, for lack of a better phrase, lol.
I just hope it goes away, doesn't get worse, and last throughout the entire pregnancy.
