I liked the Dr on this visit MUCH better. She answered ALOT of the questions I had regarding the glucose test and my hip pain. She's the diabetes specialist so I was relieved to her today.
In regards to failing the 3-hr fasting portion and passing the other parts. She said that failing any 1 part of the 3-hr = glucose intolerance, but 2 parts = gestational diabetes. Also, that my results are indicative of hypOglycemia, which along with insulin resistance, shows tendencies to lead to diabetes particularly in pregnancy.
About my hip - apparently she's attributing that to my SI joint. Unfortunately, there's not much to be done for it and it only gets worse as the pregnancy progresses. Since chiropractors tend to be too aggressive with me, it looks like I'll be heading back to the orthopedist for a referral to physical therapy. I'm not shocked - it's "old hat" for me as I do suffer from degen. disc disease and arthritis in my back/neck. Ugh, I just hope the PT helps.
Other than that - I've gained 3 lbs, bp 110/70, and baby's hb is at 141 :) My next appt is in 3 wks on Valentine's Day <3
