5w6d Light Brown Spotting the Last 4 Days
By GypsyTasya » Posted Nov. 6, 2011 9:43am - 231 views - 3 comments

I'm really nervous about this spotting that's going on at the moment. It started on Thursday...just SUPER SUPER light. On Friday, I noticed it a little more, although still very light brown (like beige colored) and I started using a pantyliner. I called the Dr on Friday to ask about it as I've seen some ladies write that their miscarriages began as light brown spotting. The nurse said it sounded to her like a second implantation (the OH and I haven't DTD as I've been so bloated and not at all in the "mood") but to keep an eye on it and call if it got worse or changed to red-colored over the weekend. She also said if it didn't stop by Monday morning to come in and have my blood tested (hcg and progesterone).

Today (Sunday), I'm still spotting. It seems like it's worse when I cough or sneeze (seasonal allergies) - like more gets pushed out or something. Otherwise, it's the same as it was on Friday. I'd certainly feel better if this wasn't happening :( I still have pregnancy symptoms: cramps, sore bbs/nips, tired, hungry, constipation, frequent trips to the bathroom. I'm still bloated but not nearly as bad as the other day. I haven't had any nausea/vomiting except the once when I ate those raviolis. I have felt a little queasy but nothing on the level of how morning sickness is described.

I just wish the spotting would go away. That would make me feel better and more confident that nothing is wrong or going to happen.

I spotted too at 7 weeks and off and on for weeks after that, it was a blood clot that eventually reabsorbed into my body and went away. I'd get your levels checked, to ease your mind if nothing else. We spent 6 hours in the ER for them to tell us the baby's fine but I *might* miscarry. I'm still pregnant and almost halfway through, proof that spotting doesn't always signal a miscarriage. I wish you the best!

I had light brown spotting from the beginning of my pregnancy until about 7 weeks. I am on progesterone though so that is thought to be the cause of mine. I'm now 9 weeks 5 days and I have had 3 perfect u/s so far. I pray that things are fine for you and your lo as well!
