Due to the light-brown spotting, the Dr had me come in yesterday for hcg beta and progesterone blood work. I just got the results this morning ... HCG = 12,489 which I'm told is good. The Progesterone = 14.6 which I'm told is a little on the low side. The nurse said that below 8 and she would be concerned but they'd like to see mine a little higher. Sooo, I have my first ultrasound on Thursday just to make sure all is as it should be. The nurse said there's no need to do a second round of blood work as my level is well over 5000, unless the ultrasound shows something to be off. She said we may even be able to see a heartbeat at the u/s! I'm about to jump out of my skin b/c I'm so excited! I was all prepared to be patient and wait until my first official OB appointment at the 8wk mark but now it's only a day.5 away .... I can't wait!
