Frustrated!
By KenpoMommy » Posted May. 20, 2013 2:16pm - 224 views - 4 comments

So i posted a question on another pregnancy website about hcg levels, and all i got back were know-it-all responses about how "you can't tell anything by that" answers. I'm really frustrated because all i asked for was some real life experiences about specific hcg levels and whether or not the woman responding went on to have one baby or two (or more). I only wanted this info for comparison purposes, and the responses i got were as if i asked them to diagnose me on the spot! I completely understand that you cant tell if you have twins or not just by beta levels, but from everything im reading online, mine seem high to me for the point im at right now (18dpo). How hard is it to get people to just say, "my level was X at 16dpo and i had twins"? That was all i wanted... Reminds me of why i don't go on discussion boards like that too often. Too many people that can't wait to say they know better...

It is reassuring! Thanks :-) Be sure to update when you get your results tomorrow! Good luck!

Nope! Mine are just faint all around - although I've only taken them 16 and 17 DPO. I called again and explained my thoughts to a nurse, who shooed me in to the office for a blood draw. :) Bless her. Will know the results tomorrow morning.

And I'm glad yours look high now! Haha - I figured that might be reassuring. :)

Ihamblin, wow! So according to that chart, I'm WAY over the average level. I guess that may mean nothing still, but its interesting info. Thanks! Your dr. won't do betas for you? Were your tests darker and now lighter? If thats the case, they should definitely be doing blood tests! My dr. just does them automatically for me now because of my history of mc.

See, my problem is the opposite. My HPTs are really faint now and I'm only a day behind you. :/ I'm just wanting my doc to get me a beta in the first place! Lol. Good luck! There's a site here, where you can see by single or multiple pregnancies each HCG level and the number of women reporting... http://www.pregnancycharts.org/hcg.php
