The return of the dreaded "cankles"...

Yes, my old friends the cankles have returned. I just noticed last night that my ankles and feet were starting to look a bit puffy and i said to my husband, "uh oh, cankles are back". Being the awesome husband that he is, he of course says, "it's ok babe, i love you and your cankles". LOL Thanks babe.... With my last baby, i had horrible water retention in my legs and feet throughout the entire pregnancy, starting at about 8 weeks. This time, I haven't had an issue at all with it, til now. I think because i was working at a job which required me to be on my feet allll day long with the last baby, it became a problem early on. I'm normally a size 7 in shoes, but by the time the baby was born last time, i was up to a 8 1/2! This time, because i run my own business now, i've been able to be off my feet when i need to so i've managed to keep the swelling down. But those cankles are persistent! I guess i couldn't hide from them forever. At least i haven't had to buy new shoes this time.... yet...

Comment from KenpoMommy » Posted Nov. 24, 2013 1:36pm Thank you. I'm feeling a bit more relaxed about things since the latest ultrasound. I have been worried the whole time that my stomach problems were going to affect the baby's growth, but now that i know he's actually measuring ahead of dates, i feel like I don't have to worry so much. Technically, i have 8 1/2 weeks left, but since the first two were early, and this guy is big already, i'm thinking it will be sooner than that. Maybe more like 6 weeks left. Yikes! That's soon! lol | |
Comment from Bostonmama08 » Posted Nov. 24, 2013 9:08am Heehee....you're too funny. It is a temporary symptom, thank goodness! BTW you look so adorable in your new profile pic and your recent belly pic. You are looking more rested and at peace! |
