Hate my Insurance

Looks like I'm going to have a ton of problems getting the medications I'll need for this pregnancy, same as my last pregnancy. My last pregnancy I had gestational diabetes. I needed to be put on glyburide. Got my script filled, no problem. After a week my ob needed to up the dosage. My insurance company denied it. Took days and days of my obgyn and the pharmacist being on the phone with my insurance company before they would cover it. I went threw that with a few medications. Now this time, I was given a script for Zofran. Once again, my insurance refuses to cover it. Their reasoning is because Zofran is not FDA approved for nausea due to pregnancy. Zofran is onlyapproved by the FDA for nausea and vomiting caused by cancer chemotherapy, radiation therapy and surgery. So I guess I will have to suffer threw this morning sickness :( There is another medication I can get, but I refuse to take any category C medications while pregnant.

Im sorry insurance does suck!! I had to pay out of pocket $125.00 every month of medication thats after insurance "covered it". I know it isnt possible but it would be nice that medications needed by pregnancy where discounted magically. I was prescribed Zofran too, I also withheld from getting it. As of now I about to try Sea bands and everything with ginger possible, the preggie pops do not work. Best of luck
