Wow, it's been ages since I have been online....it's been ages since I got off the couch really LOL.
A lot has happened since June.
I have been in and out of hospital with all sorts of 'suspected' things. First it was a UTI, which they treated me for, then it was apparently a kidney issue at which point they told me I probably didn't even have a UTI therefor I don't have a kidney infection....then it was suspected gallstones. In one scan they saw some little stones and in another they saw nothing at all.
I have decided that unless I'm holding my own severed head in my hands or about to have a baby I will not be stepping foot back in that place.

Baby is doing well and I have been lucky enough to see him/her 4 times already! Our gender scan is booked for the 31st of August and it couldn't come fast enough.

My first trimester was wrought with illness. I was sick mainly at night and, although I didn't lose weight, I didn't put any on either and my dr didn't seem too impressed. Eh, I'm fairly certain I'll balloon soon enough and then she'll be telling me to calm down on the food overload.

So far the second trimester has been kinder to me with the nausea side of things but I am extremely exhausted and one wrong move and I am out for the day with SPD and sciatica pain. I laugh about it when I'm not crying, because I seriously walk around (when i can get up) like I have a stick up my clacker. The bloke has been grabbing every opportunity to mention my age when I need his help to get up. -.-

We've decided to go public with this one at the same hospital we had Alexis. After my gender scan I will most likely start seeing the midwives at the antenatal clinic there on a monthly basis. I am still anxious to get the GDM test over and done with. I NEED to know whether I have it or not so I can prepare myself.
If I do have it, I don't feel I'm in danger of failing my diet like I did with Alexis, as my cravings have been super healthy with this one. Fruit at the beginning (at least one bowl of fruit salad daily) and lately it's been steamed green veg (zucchini, cabbage etc.) and roasted potato. Not eating as much meat as I probably should, but I'm hoping some other foods are making up for that.

This week baby is tapping away on the inside and it's an amazing but weird feeling. I can't wait until Alexis can feel it. I am wondering if she will love it or think it strange.
She's been such an amazing big sister so far. Always asking to see the baby (my belly) and she rubs it and tells baby she loves it. I told her baby has ears so she sings to it sometimes too now. She's very excited. I just hope it stays that way when baby is here and possibly screaming the house down LOL

I have asked my sister to be here for the birth of this one. She's such an amazing aunty to Alexis and has only got to see her a handful of times over the last four years. Plus she's just the kind of person I need with us in the delivery room (should all go to plan for a VBAC). She's considerate, but fun. And, should she be able to, she'd be perfect to help me adjust to having two kids at home in the first few days.

Well, I'm in dire need of a nap.

Until next time,

Chaz xx
