Baby Shower
It was my birthday so we decided to have friends and family over and incorporate the baby shower too. Baby boy was very spoiled and so was I :)

First Prenatal Appointment
I was put on high risk due to a high clotting rate of my blood. Doctors have put me on asprin to thin my blood and fortnightly visits to check me and baby. Apart from that, so far so good with baby and me. Although DD ranges from 25th - 30th January on different parts of their files...baby will come when he wants, I am sure!

Found Out Baby's Gender
We had to wait almost a whole hour of measurements and poking and prodding until we got to see his bits...flowing freely LOL. On August 5, 2012 at 15 weeks 2 days pregnant
Felt My Baby Move for the First Time
I had definitely felt flutters before today, but this week baby has really started moving and I seem to have definitely popped a little belly. It's much smaller than what I had with Alexis, but I had GDM with her and extra fluid. On July 20, 2012 at 13 weeks 0 days pregnant
NT Ultrasound
According to the previous ultrasound I was meant to be 12w 5d on the day of the scan, but this scan said we were 13weeks exactly. I expect that to change again like they always do, but this scan is the only one that fits exactly with my calculations ;)We took Alexis along and she was soooo excited all week. She watched, amazed, for about five minutes then got bored and needed to go to the toilet etc. The scan was over in 15 minutes. We were told baby was healthy and had a HB of 153bpm. He wriggled around, kicked and brought his hand up to his face. All very cool to see and amazing to think that little thing is inside you, doing all of that and you can't feel a thing.

First Ultrasound
Didn't get to see much and the calculations seemed wrong. He also said it wasn't worth giving us a picture...:(
Won't be going back there again.

Announced Pregnancy to Family
We sent our parents each a picture of our daughter wearing a shirt that said 'I'm going to be a big sister' They rang us right away with congratulations and excitable screams.
We'd only just found out that morning ourselves, but couldn't wait. We asked them to keep it quiet from others, though.

First Positive Pregnancy Test
I had a dream the night before that I POAS and got a BFP. I had POAS the day before and it was BFN, so as soon as I started doing my business I started chastising myself. I put the FRER down, washed up and then went to throw it in the bin. I started shaking when I saw two lines. I tested twice more that day and by 4pm the test was so dark it was unbelievable! I was only 11dpo. My DD didn't show up until 6 weeks on a HPT!On May 16, 2012 at 3 weeks 4 days pregnant
Told Husband/Partner
Straight after I saw the lines I ran out to him and asked him if he could see anything. It was VERY early in the AM and we were both bleary eyed. He said 'maybe' then rushed out to work. I was determined to get a more positive answer from him so I emailed him the second test LOL and showed him the third and very dark one when I got home. He hugged me, said congratulations then wooped because he has a sober driver for a year. Typical!
