Prental Tests: Group B Strep Test (GBS)
GBS test and first cervical check...1 cm dialated!

Baby Shower
On November 16, 2012 at 26 weeks 3 days pregnant
Prental Tests: Glucose Challenge Test
Went in after fasting the night. Took the 10oz of orange soda-like drink (50mg glucose). Sat there for an hour and then went to get blood drawn.
Found out the following Tuesday that I didn't pass. I was at 154 out of 140 so I have go go in for the 3 hour test. A bit disappointed but I'm sticking to the Bradley diet for the most part to get better numbers for the 3 hour test.

Started Childbirth Classes
Bradley classes - missed the 1st one on the babymoon, 2nd one Wendy went with me, 3rd one missed because of late work night. Now on to the 4th one week of Thanksgiving - gotta get Omar on board!

Went on Babymoon
Babymoon Carnival cruise to Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Cozumel was changed to Key West, Costa Maya, & Cozumel due to tropical storm Sandy which turned into Hurricane Sandy by the time we returned home.
We still had a blast on our cruise and our time on the ship was spent eating, relaxing, and in different shows put on.

Found Out Baby's Gender
This time it was clear as day - yup he's a boy and we are so happy! Time to start planning for blue!

Announced Baby's Gender to Family
Mom and sisters went with us to see the 3D elective ultrasound to find out the sex of the baby. More than likely it's a boy but it won't be confirmed until next week. The chord was running straight through the legs and the legs were crossed. The tech said she saw boy but didn't want to confirm until we could also see it.

Felt My Baby Move for the First Time
It was the cutest, most awesomest feeling! It was a flutter sort of thump in my abdomen (not followed by gas). I'm even more in love! So excited I texted Omar to let him know I felt the baby.

Started Wearing Maternity Clothes
I've been wearing maternity clothes for at least a couple of weeks now but it's come time where nothing fits....but for the 2-3 maternity pants that I do have, 1 pair of pre-preg work pants and the rest is history. Must buy more clothes!

Announced Pregnancy to Family
Over blue, pink, and yelllow cupcakes with labels "Tia Wendy", "Tio Moy" etc they each found out at mom's 59th birthday celebration. Where "Abuela Elena" was ecstatic to find out she will be a grandma. Priceless expressions on all of their faces.

First Ultrasound
There is in fact one baby in there. We saw what I think is its back side so we saw a big head and a little body with not much limbs. Heart beat 178 & 180 and measuring exactly 8w6d due date confirmed for Feb 19, 2013.

Heard Baby's Heartbeat for the First Time
Doppler came in the mail today and I found the heartbeat on the right side, on Monday that is exactly where the doctor found it also.

First Prenatal Appointment
Met Dr. Sam Bharksuwan and was very happy with our choice. Urine test, pap smear, scheduled U/S for week 9. Lab work done 6/27 early morning - 7 tubes of blood!

Told Husband/Partner
Ok, here it goes. I fell asleep on the couch and at 11:47 DH wakes me up to go to bed. Perfect I thought because I was just going to sleep right through midnight. So I went and got the bag out of the car. I was ready at 11:55 so I said let's open your birthday present. But it wasn't his birthday until 5 minutes from then. He sees the fishing bag and says - oh yeah fishing stuff, but it's lightweight. Hmmmm.
He starts getting the tissue paper out then goes right into the clothes and is like "y esto?", "y esto" (kinda like what's this?). He's pulling stuff out the bag and says "you're pregnant?" then he gets to the last little box that has the TWO HPT and the digital one that says pregnant. Deer in headlights look. No go on the camera, sorry guys. Then he's smiling and happy and is looking at the stuff and s looking at the stuff and just hugs me. All the comotion we finally lay down and he's quiet, just silence, and I'm wondering what he's thinking.

Bought Baby's First Outfit
All part of DH's birthday surprise. In fisherman gift bag - small sunglasses, baby sunblock, shorts, summer/fishing hat, and a onesize with a crab on it.

First Positive Pregnancy Test
I found the pregnancy tests I was looking for last night. I said I wouldn't test until after the missed period but I just couldn't resist until tomorrow so I did it this morning. A few seconds after I laid the test down the strong positive line came through.
I wont be telling hubs until his bday on Thursday. So hard to keep it in!
