My Milestones & Events

On October 29, 2012 at 4 weeks 4 days pregnant
Told My Boss About My Pregnancy
We had a lot of stuff going on, 1 right after the other, & this pregnancy came right after a death in the family. I was not myself due to the death, & now that I'm pregnant, I feel sick & crappy all the time, & it probably looks like I'm still grieving(which I am, but not like before). She asked me to come into her office & asked how I was doing, if I was doing ok, if I need more time off, & even brought up that maybe I just need to focus on just school & home because she has other students who would like to work there(I'm a student worker in the library). I asked her if she's asking me to quit or firing me. She said no. My moody self, said "Ok, cuz it's illegal to do that to someone who's pregnant without a reasonable cause." I wasn't happy with her response because she thinks pregnancy is like a death sentence, but I'll be done there when I graduate, so they don't have to worry about maternity leave and all that.

Announced Pregnancy to Family
My family is close. They like to know if you even think you are pregnant & wanna know you're going to POAS. I found this> http://www.scrapbook.com/poems/doc/12323/34.html I fixed the right due date and since we live 4-5hrs away from my parents and 7hrs away from the rest of the family, I called them. My parents were eating out at a busy restaurant. I told them I found something & I wanted to read it to them because it was super cute, & surprisingly, they put the phone on speaker in the restaurant. I read it to them & everyone was crying. They were with friends. They were SHOCKED because we made them believe we didn't want anymore for a long time(LIES). Plus, my brother & his gf are due 2 months before me! Nobody could keep their mouth shut, & my MIL & parents spilled on FB. We were ok with it! So EVERYONE knows! I know some like to keep quite early on, but we can't!

Told Husband/Partner
I waited until the 2nd day I tested to tell my husband. Nothing special. I just flat out told him. He was SHOCKED. Moreso than I was! After the shock wore off, he's of course happy and excited and already thinking it's a girl. Haha! :)

First Positive Pregnancy Test
I had a feeling. I just couldn't shake it, even though we stopped trying and avoided trying to get pregnant. My period wasn't due for a while yet, so I knew if I was, I was super early. I woke up Sunday morning and took and internet cheapie and the faintest of faint lines showed up. I knew a faint is still a positive. So I took another one the next morning. It got darker! I went and got blood drawn and took a digital that afternoon. The digital even picked up my 5th diluted urine of the day after 30 seconds! OMG! This is really happening!! Yay!!! :D
