On June 12, 2013 at 19 weeks 1 day pregnant
Felt My Baby Move for the First Time
Today I felt a few kicks! This is the first actual movement that I KNOW was her and I haven't second guessed. It was early this morning, and some at lunch, I felt 3 distinct "thumps" very low. It had to be her! It was amazing to feel. I am so looking forward to when me husband and family will be able to feel and see her movements on the outside. I am glad she chose today because this morning I woke up and had slept through the WHOLE night without getting up to use the bathroom and no tossing and turning, this hasn't happened to me in months. So naturally I thought something must be wrong haha. My husband assured me that I am allowed to just be tired and have a good night's sleep. Me however, being paranoid mommy tried to find the heartbeat before work and couldn't. I was going to be late so I gave up and thought I'd try first thing when I got home. This must have been her way of telling me she is just fine <3

Found Out Baby's Gender
We had our second ultrasound today! We decided to do the 4d since we won't have our next one at the doctor's office until 20 weeks. myself, my husband, my sister, and my mom and mother in law were all there. Our LITTLE GIRL! showed off her gender right away! My husband really wanted a boy but he seems to be coming around a lot faster than I thought he would knowing that were having a girl. We had her name picked out already, Kenzie Brooke Randall, so now we are anxiously awaiting her arrival 24 weeks from now :) It was amazing to see how much she had changed from just 2 months ago on our last u/s. I still haven't felt any movement but I hear it should be any time now. YAY FOR PINK!!!

Heard Baby's Heartbeat for the First Time
We bought a fetal doppler online and it came in yesterday. I thought it'd be too early to hear the heartbeat (8 1/2 wks) but after much searching, and a lot of mistaking different sounds for the baby, i heard the distinct gallop of the fast fetal heartbeat. It was amazing! It was quite faint and very low down and had to really press to pick it up. If I moved the doppler the slightest I would lose it. I had my sister and her kids come over so they could hear too. What a great day

On March 25, 2013 at 8 weeks 6 days pregnant
First Ultrasound
I had my first Prenatal appt today! I have been waiting for this day for over a month..... I was so excited that it is finally here. My husband was able to come with me too <3 They took some blood work, urine sample and also OUR FIRST ULTRASOUND! We found out our due date is Nov 5th, which is a little later than I had thought but it's due to my cycle being longer than average. When we saw out little baby I was blown away, Idk why I was surprised to see there was actually a baby in there! It was the most amazing feeling I have ever had. It didn't look like much but it was everything to us. We couldn't hear the heart beat but we saw the little flicker on the screen..... absolutely breathtaking! Our next appt is in 4 weeks and we will try to pick up baby's heartbeat.

On February 25, 2013 at 4 weeks 6 days pregnant
Made Dr's appointment and told my Dad
I called the Dr to make our first prenatal appointment. It will be March 12th at 2pm. It seems so far away...... I still don't "feel" pregnant but I think about being pregnant pretty much ALL DAY LONG! The husband and I did our first bit of shopping since we found out we were pregnant, I had quite a collection of things already. We just got some clothes, mostly Christmas stuff we found on clearance since the baby will be hear end of Oct or early Nov.

Also, my dad now knows we are expecting. I had planned on waiting until my first ultrasound to tell him but he called my sister last night and asked her if I was because he had a dream a few nights ago! She of course said yes and then told me to call him. He was very excited and my step mom said he was "blubbering like a baby" My dad is the sweetest!!

Announced Pregnancy to Family
I called my mom this morning and we also called the mother in law. both of them very excited. I made sure all my close family knew before posting the positive test on facebook for the rest of our friends. Everyone is so happy for us. It's still doesn't seem like were going to be parents in 9 months. I guess that will come with time. I'm working on finding an OBGYN and will be calling to see when I can get an appt on Monday. Also, my thoughtful sister sent an edible arrangements with lots of fruit and chocolate :) very blessed to have such great family and friends

On February 22, 2013 at 4 weeks 3 days pregnant
First Positive Pregnancy Test
My husband is a fireman and works 24 hrs. Today was 14dpo but I wanted him to be here, he worked yesterday. So when he got home at 830 this morning I let the pee flow! Put the test down, didnt think it was positive I feel no different. About 15 mins later I went a looked at it and sure enough......BFP! I took a second test an hr later to be sure. Then a third, digital this time, to be extra sure! The word "pregnant" appeared and it started to sink in. Im soooo super excited. We told my sister and a close friend only so far. Im going to try and hold it until the 2nd tru but idk if I can. :)
