First Ultrasound
We almost didn't get to have our ultrasound today after waiting two weeks for the day to arrive. The insurance company didn't feel it was necessary even though the doctor said it was but the doctor did it anyway! Instead of doing it vaginally (as they usually would) they just quickly did it over my belly and this picture is what we saw. A beautiful little bean growing healthy and strong and a perfect little flickering heartbeat. Today it was confirmed we are 6 weeks along and due on April 19th.I'm already SO in love with this little one.

First Prenatal Appointment
Our first prenatal appointment was Thursday August 11th. We saw a doctor in the high risk pregnancy clinic named Dr. Maccula whom I hated!! He was crude, unprofessional, NOT compassionate at all and seemed to spew information that didn't seem accurate whatsoever. Even being a high risk pregnancy, I had to insist on beta HCG testing (for which he didn't even order 2nd or 3rd tests). He also neglected to give me a due date. If I can't see a different doc there from now on I will change offices without hesitation. THAT GUY IS NEVER COMING NEAR MY HOO HOO!!!
Needless to say, I didn't like the outcome of the appointment and can't wait for the next one with someone else so I can get the care I deserve.

First Positive Pregnancy Test
I took the test on a whim in the afternoon, not expecting to see anything. I walked away from the test for about 10 minutes and almost forgot about it. When I picked it back up there was a faint pink little line. After posting the picture online for my forum buddies to see I had 30+ responses right away saying "congratulations!" and "I see it too!"The neat part is this day (Aug 7th) was the 11 year anniversary of my mother's death.

Told Husband/Partner
Paul was taking a nap and I woke him up with a smiling face to a very tiny little pink line... the smile was returned immediately and he woke RIGHT up to enjoy the moment with me. Ever since he's been playfully teasing me & calling me Preggies & Pregasaurus heehee!
