On March 10, 2014 at 9 weeks 5 days pregnant
Told My Boss About My Pregnancy
The 26th February- had to tell boss early to get time off for booking appointment. So scary. I said-I've been dreading telling you this... He said, "oh, no!" Then I said that that came out wrong. Said I'm pregnant. He said congrats and did not look fussed. Prob glad I'm not leaving!

Anyway I said not really ready to talk about it with everyone. So he is keeping it quiet.

On March 10, 2014 at 9 weeks 5 days pregnant
Told my Chica
Rachel cried. It was so nice. I said "I'm not coming home this summer." She said "you're not?" I said "no because I'm pregnant." Then Rachel cried. She is extremely happy.

On March 6, 2014 at 9 weeks 1 day pregnant
First Prenatal Appointment
Met my midwife Anne who is so lovely. Made me feel relaxed and not worried. She told me not to stress about food! Love my gift pack.

On March 2, 2014 at 8 weeks 4 days pregnant
Told my besties
Melissa was so happy! She told me lots of lovely advice and made me feel excited about being a mom. Anannya was also really happy for me.

On February 15, 2014 at 6 weeks 3 days pregnant
Announced Pregnancy to Family
For Don's birthday, we drew a picture of a blueberry in his birthday card. It said, actual size of your grandchild. He looked at it for a moment, and said are you joking? And we said we are serious. Shorley and Don were both a little shocked. Everyone was really happy. Glad Joan was still here when we told everyone. Don also commented, I feel a little emotional. It was a great night and glad we have more people to talk to about it.

On February 4, 2014 at 5 weeks 2 days pregnant
Told my Sister
I told my sister. I said, "I'm pregnant."

Kelly said, "nuh-uh."

I said I am. She thought I was pulling her leg because I waited to tell her in the conversation. But I knew she had some heavy stuff to talk about first and I wanted to end on a positive note. She said lots of ahhhs.

She also said she hopes that I have a boy. But she will love the little heifer no matter. She also said she knew it wouldn't take long because I'm fertile. Ha ha.

I love my sister. I'm glad my mom and sister know now. Hooray- someone I can talk to now. It is so hard to keep it a secret!!!

On February 2, 2014 at 5 weeks 0 days pregnant
Told My Mom
Tonight I told my mom I am pregnant on speaker phone. She said, "You are!" She was in disbelief. She said are you sure? A lot. I said I took three home pregnancy tests. She said she wants to be called nana, and that yes- she is ready to be a grandmother bc she is in her 60s now.

Very exciting to tell the news!

First Positive Pregnancy Test
A very faint positive. Clear blue plus. Think my first words were holy fuck. Didn't expect to get a positive. Mike is pleased.

Told Husband/Partner
I was meant to give mike a whiskey but I forgot. Just gave him a hug when I told him. Then we took a second one because the line was so faint. He is happy. And in surrealness as well.
