First Prenatal Appointment
It was a great appt, I have the best obgyn. All the labs looked good and they won't need to see me for another month, which is a relief given the complicated nature of how high risk I am.

First Ultrasound
I cried when the tech told me they could see the baby and a clear heartbeat. The risk of miscarriage drops to 5% in healthy women after the heart starts beating. Which while I am high risk still brings me a modicum of comfort because any drop in the risk of miscarriage category is a great relief. My partner took video of the ultrasound screen and I have watched that video countless times. I can't wait to see the next ultrasound. The baby will have grown enough to move around by then and it is so much fun to watch them wiggle around the screen.

First Positive Pregnancy Test
I had been severely nauseous for two or three days right after I woke in the morning. On Thursday I dry heaved into my bedside trash can and that's when I realized something was wrong. Then I realized it was 14 dpo and if I was pregnant it would show up on a test. So I took two because I didn't believe the first one.
