Orange flavored... 1 hour. It wasn't nearly as bad as I had heard/thought. The juice almost tasted like Kool-aid, but where I hadn't eaten, it made me hungry! lol.

Felt Jack move from OUTSIDE for the 1st time.
During our "normal" nighttime, recliner bonding time (full of singing and chitchat), I had my hand on my belly and evidently he either really liked it and wanted to say hi, or he wanted it gone! Regardless, he poked (kicked? punched?) my hand till I felt it clearly. :) Mom and David felt it 2/14... but not Joe, he was too impatient, lol.

Bought Baby's First Outfit
I actually bought a few things from the consignment hop before, but Jan. 4th was the 1st day I bought something particularly for Jack. :) We went to Babies r Us after our appt. and got 2 outfits, bottle nipples, and a stroller ($280 stroller for $91!).

Picked a Name
We had pretty much decided, in general at least, on a name... but yesterday, 1/4, when we found out it was a boy, I knew Jackson Joe was his name. The 2 dads in my life - neither of which had to be - deserves this. I'll call him Jack though, after my favorite man in the entire world. <3

Husband/Partner Felt Baby Move for the First Time

Started talking to baby!
Found out yesterday that this is the week that the lil one is supposed to be able to hear us! So, today was the 1st day that I *really* spent some time talking to it. I've commented to it all along, but sang and really spoke to it today! Mom told it goodbye and kissed my belly tonight too. I'm so full of love!

Felt My Baby Move for the First Time
Wellllll, this isn't the exact 1st date but I didn't think to record it. :( I was around 14 weeks, but I know it was shortly prior to my 14 wk. appt. on 12/8. At that visit, I told Shelley that I thought the baby was on my right side since that's where I had felt *something*. I was right. :) At the visit 1/4, I told her I thought he had moved to the middle b/c I was feeling a lot more movement in the past week or so in that area. Right again! I AM feeling the lil fella!!! A lot!

First Ultrasound
After thinking I had a UTI, Dr. Bush brought me in for an u/s and urine test. Turns out I do not have a UTI, but at least from it I got to see the baby (make that blob, haha) as well as see and hear the heartbeat!! Amazing feeling, amazing image. How can anyone see such a wonderful thing and not be in awe!??
