First Positive Pregnancy Test
I didn't think I was going to be successful this cycle. I felt "out".

Two days before I tested I had some light spotting in my panties, which was light brown mixed with cervical fluid. I thought perhaps it was spotting before my period since that is normal for me. The next day I had an excessive amount of cervical fluid in my panties - I had to change them twice that day. The spotting had stopped, which is also not normal. I began to suspect pregnancy.

On 11dpo I took a pregnancy test using first morning urine. I didn't give the test enough time to develop, so when I looked at it I thought it was negative. I washed my hands and was about to throw the test in the bin when I saw it had turned positive - my first positive! I ran, in shock, to tell my husband. He saw I was in shock and became worried. I told him, "I'm pregnant' then burst into tears. He hugged me and laughed with joy. I cried happy tears all day.

Told Husband/Partner
I woke up early in the morning and was very grumpy. I snapped at my husband because I did not want to cuddle in bed. I had wanted to sleep in since I was on my summer break as a teacher. He got up to get ready for work. I decided to take a pregnancy test since I had had a few signs.

When I noticed the test I was in absolute shock. It was my first positive in over 150 pregnancy tests out of 2 years of trying to conceive. I walked to our home office where my husband was drinking his coffee and reading the news on his computer. I just stared at him from the doorway while in a state of utter shock and disbelief. He noticed my strange look and asked me several times what was wrong. I blurted out, "I'm pregnant!" and burst into tears. He got up to hug me and comfort me, and he laughed with joy and relief that nothing was wrong.
