Went on Babymoon
Two weeks in Grenada. Honeymoon too as we got married on the 22nd!

Saw movement, went on anti nausea meds.
Had a scan with Triay's because I was feeling very anxious and saw heart and lots of wriggling around. Also got some anti nausea drugs because this tiredness and nausea is making me bloody miserable.

1st tests am 1st wedding dress fitting pm!
Had to go without my cup of tea and OJ in the morning and had a weep as I passed the place where I usually stop for coffee (!) Am not very good at not eating and drinking. Had blood and urine done, results on Sat. Feeling v. tired and going into Marbella this afternoon with Mum and all the kids to try on my wedding dress. Hope it fits!

New Doctor.
After having bad experience with last Dr I went to try a new one today and had my first normal ultrasound ie not vaginal.
At first he showed me the gestational sac and said it was too early to see anything. I was horrified and confused as I had seen a Dr previously who had measured the baby and said she could see the heartbeat. I couldnt see a thing though but felt v. happy.
Then he wiggled his stick around a bit and there it was clear as day, the baby and a massive pumping heart. Amazing day. Am sorry Tosh and the kids weren't with me now as I didnt expect the tinsy white dot we sort of saw and were told was the heart about a week ago now is just this incredible pulsing image like a real heartbeat! 1 cm today! Nearly!

Rings for the children, maternity clothes etc
Not really pregnancy related but we decided that it would be lovely if Tosh exchanged rings with the kids during our ceremony to show a cementing of our new, blended family. 3 euros for 5 rings at Primark! Also had my first peek at Maternity clothes in C&A - almost slit my throat! - and glanced shyly at newborn clothes! Kitted all of us out for snorkelling gear too! Roll on the "destination wedding" although pretty scared I wont fit into my dress. Eldest daughter is wearing the outfit I wore when I first met Tosh!!!!

Halloween
Did Tosh's Itv crack of dawn, drove to Malaga to get raised seal for his single status, opened a joint bank account, tried to get our mobile telephones sorted - what a nightmare - picked up twins, went to scan 13mm but no heartbeat but she said it could be seen in a matter of hours,.tears again, quick sandwich, big food shop, hol tomorrow, not for poor tosh of course, got home at 6 and had to unload all the shopping, shower and change and dress up the twins for halloween in about 10 mins! Had to go and pick up teenager at midnight. Woke at five a.m again. 13 mm - no paper to print off scan so freebie on wed at 3 - am so worried. Dr Ana said it all looked good though, "stuck" well, no sounds of incipient miscarriage, good growth etc...she had previously told me that the FIRST thing they see is the heart but she said she saw the baby and it would be a matter of hours before the hearbeat.
Also cancelled our reception in the UK today.

Tosh proposed (again!)
Since we had just purchased the engagement ring Tosh and the girls thought it would be appropriate if he proposed again. I said yes. Think I was googling at the time in my pyjamas!!

First Prenatal Appointment
As I am with Sanitas, Spanish private healthcare, this was officially my first prenatal appointment. They said the sac was 8mm and to come back in 3 weeks to see heartbeat. Tosh and the kids came in and had a look at the sac . The whole experience was horrible as I was weeping before I went in - hormones, I hope, as well as trying to plan a wedding reception etc - and afterwards I was crying even more. So I rang the lady who had given me the first scan and she reassured me and told me we would probably be able to see the heart by our next appointment on Halloween.......still spent all evening crying my heart out though.......

Ordered Wedding Dress.
Took the girls to Marbella and tried on my dress. All approved although I never thought I would buy a real wedding dress, especially for a beach wedding!! It was pouring with rain. Told the lady who was making it that I was pregnant and she almost had a heart attack and upped my measurements somewhat!!!!

First Ultrasound
Being completey paranoid I went for an early private scan...and a flu shot! She said everything looked good ... the gestational sack measured 4.7 mm and I was 4 weeks and six days preganant. She scheduled me to visit her again with Tosh and the kids on Halloween so that we could see a heartbeat.

Announced Pregnancy to Family
Tosh was on the phone to his brother in Singapore announcing our plans to get married in the Caribbean at Christmas and I sneaked off to the loo and took the test and when it said positive he had just come off the phone and was googling something on our laptop and I just popped it on the keyboard.
We both were shaking and teary and amazed as we had only just started "trying" .. I have three children and they have all wanted us to have a baby together so much.....so we broke the rule and told them an then the rest of the family that very day.

First Positive Pregnancy Test
Same story as Announced Pregnancy to Family! I had taken a test on the Monday before - far too early ! - which said negative. I then another on the day my period was due....positive! 1-2 wks. And then...on the 20th on Thursda, five days later, I took another that said 2-3 weeks!!
Guess that Ovulation Predictor kit will be staying unopened in the bathroom cupboard!

Tosh's Fortieth Birthday
He didnt know it yet, but he had the best birthday present already - our donut - also a rather swish watch and James Bond novel. We all went out for a lovely Japanese meal....and, best of all, we are now the same age and he can no longer say "I am nearly forty" when I cant say the same! I did lose my toyboy though!

Estimated Date of Conception
I think I got various results r.e my fertile period on google but we started "trying" on Monday 26th of September until the 4th of October. Tosh's 40th was on October 7th. Birthday present!
