6w2d from O, 6w5d from LMP. Had this scan done at pregnancy resource center for teaching purposes. My uterus is retroverted so the scan was very difficult for the RN doing it. She measured baby at 5w5d which is way off, but I'm very confident it had everything to do with her inability to get a good view because she was very timid about pushing in too far with the scope. I go for another at my OB on Monday (in 6 days)

Lindsey, the nurse had no idea what she was doing. I had an ultrasound at my dr office in the morning and measured right on at 6w2d with fetal pole and heartbeat.

5w5d is probably very accurate. You're stating LMP was 6w5d, and O was 6w2d? So you ovulated on CD3? I highly doubt you did so while stlll on AF. Your US lines up with 5w5d as well, no fetal pole seen, because it's too early for such. 6w5d you would likely see a fetal pole, which you don't here. I think your dates may be off love. Congratulations either way. :)

I should clarify that the resource center is for women who are considering abortion. They have a new machine and are learning how todo ultrasounds on women in their first trimester. So I volunteered since it is close to my office. They do scans only to show women their unborn babies, not for diagnostics.

This was at a pregnancy resource center and the tech doing the scan has never done an ultrasound on someone with a retroverted uterus. It took her 20 minutes to find the pregnancy. It was all because she was so timid with the wand. She had no idea how to position it to search. I had to help tell her which angle to look. It's all for their learning experience so no harm in letting her try. She wants me to keep coming in so she can continue to learn how to do scans on retro uteruses.

Good luck for your next u/s in 6 days. My uterus is retroverted also but that's never interfered with the scan or measurements. Did you see a foetal pole or HB. I've been following your up-dates ;-)
