Q: Managing to keep exercising with morning sickness?

I'm six weeks and already really struggling with morning sickness. I can only manage to eat fruit and bread, and spend most of my time sleeping. I really want to keep exercising, at least a bit, because I know it's important to keep healthy, but am really struggling to keep it up. Any advice? Or should I just leave it for a bit and let my body rest?

Thanks ladies. I'm quite small and can't eat much at the moment, so I think I'm just gonna accept defeat and wait until ms clears up before exercising again. I'm already losing weight and don't want to make that worse by working off the only calories I can manage to stomach!

I'm trying very hard to keep it up! W/ my DD I gave up when MS hit, I ended up w/ chronic HBP & gained 70lb (mostly fluid). Not sure it will make a difference but I'm trying (I'm also older, 41 and plus size to begin with) My exercise of choice is swimming. I did so 3x a week long before pg....I"ve had to cut back on my duration a bit but I figure I'm at least gonna put on the suit & get in the pool!!! Just being in the pool can displace water gain & once I'm in, I always end up getting going! Good Luck!

I tried to keep exercising too but I just couldn't do it. I wouldn't worry to much about exercising right now maybe you could go on walks to get out of the house but I wouldn't push to hard especially if you're only able to eat fruit and bread. You're body is working hard right now creating you're little baby and needa rest..Later on after you're feeling better start exercising again. I was tired all the time during my first trimester and never felt very good, I just did stuff I could do and didn't worry about the exercising until I started feeling better around 11 weeks.
