Q: Postpartum swelling

I'm about 5 days postpartum and I've noticed my feet and ankles are even more swollen now than before I delivered. I'm going to call my doctor in the morning, but I'm a little concerned. Is this normal? I had a c-section.

Also, does anyone know of a good website (similiar to this one) for new mommies? I'm having some trouble breastfeeding and other random issues that I would love to discuss with other sleep-deprived mommies:-) LOL Thanks!!

My mom and my aunt both told me to eat hard-boiled eggs everyday. Something to do with the protein, but apparently it works.

...also my swelling hung around a lot longer than normal because I am anemic. I saw my doctor who said it was common for this to happen in anemic patients.

I had a c-section 4 weeks ago and it took at least 10-14 days for my feet and ankles to look even remotely normal. just keep them elevated and rest.

Did you recieve alot of fluid through a drip? I had no swelling through pregnancy with my last but after his birth i was so swollen I could bend my fingers or my ankle. The doctor told me it was because of the amount of fluids and medication they put through my drip to reduce my PPH (I had a major bleed) and way they just said over the next few days i would pee all the extra fluid out lol it was much better in about 4 days :) I would still check with your doctor but just thought i would let you know mine was from nothing major :)
