Q: Moms with kids under 1 year old who go to school and take care of the house...

I'm planning on going to school during the summer of 2013. By then I will be a mom of a 6 month old...I know I won't be a full time student...But how is your day like with school, a child, and taking care of other household duties...I just want to prepare myself.

A a teacher, I in no way want to discourage you, but I was going to be in my second year of my Masters program when my baby was 4 months old and I had to defer it a year.

I had the support of my husband with baby & home duties and I was only taking one class online but when the time came, I personally found it to difficult to manage. The duties of being a mom were too heavy and the few minutes that I did have some free time I just wanted to sleep. I may be different with a 6 month old,

Good luck, and be easy on yourself if you dont find that you can do it

I didn't have a child while completing my education, but I would imagine to make it most successful, you would have to negotiate splitting the household duties with your husband. When you're in school you will need some time at home to study and do homework.

Good luck!
