Q: Sounds like baby has slime in his throat after bottle feeding (breastmilk & formula)?

You know when someone sounds like they need to clear their throat? Well that's what baby sounds like when he breathes after drinking from the bottle - whether i give him breastmilk or formula. It doesn't happen when he drinks directly from the breast.

He's 3 weeks old.

Anyone experienced this?

I've never experienced this, but my initial though is it could be either the angle you are holding the bottle or else an allergy/sensitivity to the bottle which is causing some swelling. My little brother had a plastic allergy as a kid and couldn't use sippy cups or anything, but he grew out of it by age 10.
