Q: Sex after baby not going well.

Our baby will be 4 months old on the 1st of Feb and we have only attempted sex in the last couple of weeks and the second time was last night. Neither time went well. I start to cry right away. Partially because it's uncomfy and partially because it feels weird to me to be having sex after pushing a baby out of there! Every time he would move i would cry more. We had to stop and I feel so badly because we haven't been intimate since I was four months pregnant and now this....I miss being able to BE with my husband and enjoy it. Anyone else been through this?

I agree with giving yourself more time. I am 5 months pp and hubby was home from being overseas for Christmas, it didn't go so well for me either..,but I've read and heard from a lot of other women that they were not ready mentally until after 6 months...hang in there. If its bothering you there is never any harm in talking to someone about it.

It's okay this happens to so many women..it's also hard to go from mom to wife in all this. Take your time and be intimate in other ways until you are mentally and physically ready. Truly, spend more time loving each other in others ways right now- sex will come - don't worry. Having a baby changes so much about who you are and became. Give yourself time.
