Q: Breakthrough bleeding during first pack of birth control after baby?

I started my period on May 17 (Friday), at 7 weeks post-partum. I started my birth control on that Sunday, May 19. I was on my period for about 9-10 days, so finishing around the 25th. I have taken my pill every day and haven't missed any. On the 28th, after 3 days of not bleeding, I started bleeding again and had some cramps, and have been bleeding a normal amount for one of my periods since then (so the past 3 days). Is this breakthrough bleeding or did my period start over, or maybe never ended at all?

I know it takes a while for your hormones to get back to normal, but I didn't experience this with my first child.
