I also had a 2nd degree tear. I loved the dermaplast spray! I HATED the sitz bath because I felt like the position (as well as sitting on the toilet) put more pressure on my sensitive bits. Instead, I sat in the bathtub every evening and morning for about 30 minutes while daddy and baby spent some time together. It was AWESOME!

I was given a sitz bath also and that antibacterial Dermoplast stuff that worked wonders because it also helps numb the area. I was bad with my first like that so I know how uncomfortable you are. Get that spray ASAP because I used it with my second and had wished I had it with my first. Good luck and I hope you heal quickly

I was given a foam to spray in my underwear after I tore. Maybe witch hazel would work too. It will sting for a second but give a soothing feeling.

My sister used a sitz bath quite often to help in healing and and soothing. Also, in a few days, try napping without undies and give it some time to heal/air out.
