I would suggest prenatal yoga (it's great because you can really change each pose so it really works for YOU) and prenatal water aerobics. In my third tri with my son I also did a lot of walking and lap swimming, but these might be a bit harder if you're only just starting out. Just follow the guidelines the pp gave you, and you should be fine!

I am not in my third trimester yet but I am a certified personal trainer so I know a tiny bit about this subject :) I would stick with low- to moderate-intensity low impact cardio, like the elliptical, walking, or swimming. The rowing machine (if the belly isn't in the way) or stationary bike are also good choices. Prenatal yoga would be great as well! I would not attempt to start any sort of weight-lifting regimen unless you either have a personal trainer or you know how to do all the moves with perfect form, and even then you would need to use fairly light weights. Make sure you don't get your body temperature up way too high (work out in a cool room with minimal, comfy clothes), warm up and cool down before and after increased intensity, and use the "talk test" to make sure you don't work out too hard (you should be able to carry on a conversation or at least say a sentence at a time...no gasping for air). Exercise is awesome! GL! :)
