Q: 6.4 wk u/s & NO Gestational Sac?!

I had a little spotting this morning (wiped once), so went to doc this aftn. U/S showed no gestational sac, no yoke sac and no fetus. Uterus filled with blood or fluid. Also doc found a cyst about the size of a golf ball on my only ovary (other ovary taken out yrs ago cuz of cyst). I will get my hcg and progesterone levels back tomorrow. I only have a little cramping, mostly because of diahrrea (sorry tmi) and the little spotting I had this morning has stopped.

has this happened to anyone and then had a positive outcome? I have had 3 m/c: 11wks, 8wks (never saw heartbeat), and 6wks (blighted ovum).

I am worried, and upset, just hoping that maybe my dates are off, just hoping its not an etopic.

After 2 days, my beta went down to 952. Thank you all for the prayers.

I got my beta hcg done and it was 966, rather low for 6.4weeks. My progesterone was also low at 4.9. I go back tomorrow for my second round of bloodwork. Doctor also gave me Rx for prometrium suppositories and folguard. I will get them filled after I get test results back if the numbers are still rising.

well this did happen to me sort of. I had two gestational sacs. One in which had a baby with heartbeat measuring correctly at 6 weeks 3 days.. and another that appeared completely empty. Doctor said it was still a possibility it was too early for that sac. I had to wait another week for another u/s. So at 7 weeks 3 days had another u/s .. at that point it was still empty so basically the second was a blighted ovum/vanishing twin. Don't give up hope yet. In the next week or two your doctor will know more. Thinking of you.. hoping for the best.
